Raspberry pi wifi spectrum analyzer10/29/2023 ![]() I have currently scrapped out the idea of using an SA602 as the front end. ![]() 33&t=47104 ) but I have been able to set the DDS frequency change rate right up to ~1e5(have carried out FSK to transmit audio to an regular FM radio 15K samples/sec for audio are sufficient) times a second which is much higher than the sampling rate of the ADC. I am currently having problems reading the ADC(I2C based and logged at. The DDS is controlled via the GPIO and the ADC is controlled via I2C. Each sampled frequency(generated by the DDS) is correlated with the ADC output voltage and the spectrum is recovered. ![]() The basic operation is that the RF(say from an antenna with a preamp) is mixed with the time varying local oscillator signal(generated with the AD9850) and the mixed output is then low pass filtered and amplified(probably with a calibrated programmable gain amplifier, not thought about this part but till use an amplifier, PGA to increase the dynamic range)which is sent to the ADC and sampled by the PI. The basic components are a direct digital synthesizer(DDS currently using AD9850), an RF mixer(like SA602) and an ADC like MCP3021. I am in progress of making a Raspberry pi based RF spectrum analyser ![]()
